近年來台灣雷射產業在產官學研的努力之下，在技術自主與精細製造技術之精進已奠定基礎，雷射除了材料加工之應用外，醫療應用是另一個國際發展方向。相對於牙科醫療器材產品方面正好可以結合台灣雷射產業發展之成果，利用雷射進行牙科醫療產品之高值化，正可以帶動相關產業的發展。
工研院南分院雷射應用中心除致力於雷射相關技術之開發，亦持續邀請國際於雷射領域之專家來台，以促進國內產學研在此領域的共同合作機會及進行國際交流。謹訂於100年10月28日（五）假工研院六甲院區舉辦「台美先進雷射醫材技術研討會」，特邀請美國密蘇里大學著名雷射專家與會，來台分享美國先進雷射製程最新技術及發展趨勢，並同時邀請國內先進，介紹雷射技術於牙科領域之應用與臨床實例分享，讓相關廠商更進一步瞭解醫用雷射與雷射製程在牙科醫療技術方面的應用，希望能夠引領業界與醫療教學單位、法人研發單位跨領域深入了解相關技術，提升台灣口腔雷射醫療器材開發及製造能力。敬邀貴賓您參與盛會!
As a result of the collaborative efforts of dedicated people from industry, government, academia, and research, Taiwan’s laser industry has laid the foundation for technology independence and precision manufacturing. In addition to the applications in material processing, the laser technology can also be used in the medical sphere. Integrating the achievement of Taiwan’s laser technology with dental medical devices will add value to the dental medical products and drive the development of related industries.
The Laser Technology Application Center of ITRI South strives to foster the development of laser technology and the collaboration and interaction among domestic and international industries and academics. The “International Workshop on Advanced Laser Medical Device” will be held in the Liu-Jia campus of ITRI on the afternoon of Friday, October 28th. Two renowned researchers from the University of Missouri and two outstanding speakers affiliated with the Taipei Medical University will give a speech in their respective fields of study. The workshop aims to introduce the application of laser technology on dental surgery and also share experience in clinical observations in order to improve the development and manufacturing capability on oral laser medical devices.
